I'm turning 30 in August. I'd kill anyone who bought it for me as a present for spending that much on a b-day present, but that would be awesome!
I'm growing tired of doing linework in AI and color in PS8. Now that I'm getting more adventurous I'm finding myself feeling limited by photoshop, really limited. It's greatly educational, and I can do a lot with it but it always seems to look pixely. Maybe when the economy stimulates me I can afford to drop the $$ on it without too much regret.
I'd buy it no questions asked if i worked in the art field, but I'm an accountant. Bit of a huge drop in the bucket on a hobby/aspiration. Then again, to achieve a dream you've got to make sacrifice. Right???

So on to other things since I can finally rest my typing fingers on the Okami subject...

I washed my car today for the first time in months. Of course it's raining now.
But I was smart, I did a half wash, just a nice detailed once-over and then this weekend I'll go all out. I usually spend about 6 hours washing my car. I know, sick. But it's a 2007 Honda Fit. I love her. Gantz fans reading this will be amused to know her name is Kishimoto Kei. I also call her Chibii-chan because she's a tiny little car

I don't know exactly why I am writing about my car here. Oh well, it's a blog. It doesn't have to be about art.

It's probably also got something to do with my frame of mind at the moment.
Tuesday I didn't do much at all. Read some manga, watched some anime, drew some stuff. I never ate anything Tuesday though. No, wait... I had some fruit salad. God that was good... Then Tuesday night I didn't sleep. I don't know why. I tried though. Then at 9am on Wednesday I cleaned out my garage and made 4 trips to the local dump with my car packed full to the roof of crap from my garage. That's another reason I love my car. The seats fold in to the floor so she's like a mini-mini-van with a huge cavern. Anyway, after all of that, around noon it was time to mow the lawn.

My Japanese Maple in my front yard is really trying to turn the yard in to a Japanese Maple forest. There are saplings everywhere so rather than mow over them I picked about 15 of the strongest looking ones that were in an area where they would be cut and put them in a pot which I will care for. There are about 25 more growing in areas where they won't be affected by landscaping. I figured I would leave those there to grow until they are substantial enough to plant elsewhere. I love trees, esp. The Japanese Maple with it's big purple leaves!

The Lilacs are in full bloom, and as I was mowing the lawn I was treated to their clean clean scent every pass. It rained recently so the final bloom explosion of leaves made its thrust. Everything was in the brilliant green of new life. I loved it. I love cities, especially NYC, but I don't know if I could ever life anywhere but in the woods. See I live on a dead end, one of only 2 houses on the street and my house is 75% surrounded by woods. I'm not sure which I love more, the Flora or Fauna. While I was mowing there was a Red-Tailed Hawk hopping around the branches of a large Ash tree while crows and blue-jays screeched alarms. A pair of Cardinals, a couple really, shot in and out of the Lilac bush as I passed no doubt protecting a nest within. I really was enjoying myself. That is until I realized that I still hadn't eaten, nor had I slept and I was pushing myself too hard.
The only nutrients I had taken in during the last 30+ hours was some fruit salad, a hostess cupcake and 2 16oz and 2 24oz cans of Monster Khaos.
My body finally gave up.

I went and bought a coffee and came back home to find that my Grandmother had bought pizza which I was far too tired to eat more than one slice of.
I sat down on my couch to watch Karas and just chill out. That was around 7pm. Next thing I know I am waking up around 1am.
It's 3:15 and I am wide awake. KUSO!!!
